I was fed up getting ripped off by the major car rental companies where the all in cost was not at all what it appeared. There always seems to be a substantial additional insurance charge to pay which works out to be extortionate. So, after some research and some local knowledge I hired a perfectly decent car from www.lowcostcarandvanhire.co.uk which met all my needs for around half the cost. The team could not have done more to help us out (even coming to my wife's assistance for a tyre change!) and were really flexible when we asked for the car for an additional week over Christmas. Couldn't recommend this company high enough and it's a great pleasure to support a local business than the major rental conglomerates.
